Dr. John R. Lott Jr. is an economist and internationally recognized expert on crime and public policy. During the Trump administration, he served in senior research roles within the U.S. Department of Justice. Lott has taught or conducted research at institutions including the University of Chicago, Yale, Stanford, UCLA, and the Wharton School. He is the author of ten books, including More Guns, Less Crime and Gun Control Myths, and has published more than 100 peer-reviewed academic articles.
