Lyn Ulbricht is a prominent criminal justice reform advocate and the Founder of Mothers Against Cruel Sentencing (MACS). Previously she led the FreeRoss campaign dedicated to clemency for her son, Ross Ulbricht, who received a double life sentence without parole for all non-violent charges. Through this work, which resulted in a pardon from President Trump, Ulbricht has become a leading voice for sentencing reform and criminal justice. Her years of public speaking, media appearances, and grassroots organizing have brought national attention to concerns about proportional sentencing and how we treat the incarcerated.
