Evan McMahon is the Chair of the Libertarian National Committee, elected by delegates at the 2026 Libertarian National Convention in Grand Rapids, Michigan. He has been active in the Libertarian Party since 2010 and has spent more than fifteen years building it from the ground up.
McMahon has chaired the Libertarian Party of Indiana since 2021 and most recently served as LNC Secretary. He was elected At-Large to the LNC in 2014 and ran the Libertarian National Campaign Committee as its Executive Director from 2012 to 2016. A seven-time national convention delegate for Indiana, he has worked on campaigns up and down the ballot in states across the country.
As Chair, his priorities are doubling the party's membership, restoring 50-state ballot access for 2028, and rebuilding its finances and credibility. He believes in a party that means what it says about liberty, and proves it by doing.
