About me
Eric Carroll is a speaker, filmmaker, television host, podcast host, author, and the founder of Dad Talk Today, a platform that has grown to nearly 1.5 million followers worldwide. Born and raised in Columbus, Georgia, Eric comes from a family deeply rooted in ministry. Although he spent much of his life determined to follow a different path, he eventually realized his purpose was still centered on serving others—just outside the walls of a church.
After experiencing firsthand the challenges fathers face in the family court system, Eric launched Dad Talk Today in 2019 to create a place where men could find support, discuss their struggles without shame, and build a stronger community. Over the past seven years, he has traveled to 43 states, interviewed more than 1,000 legislators, and become one of the nation’s leading voices on fathers’ rights, men’s mental health, and family issues.
Eric is also deeply involved in politics and public policy. Through thousands of hours of interviews and conversations with lawmakers, elected officials, and policy leaders across the country, he has developed a broad understanding of government, legislation, and the issues shaping America. While he often chooses to focus on bringing people together rather than fueling political division, he is passionate about encouraging thoughtful discussion, accountability, and solutions that improve people’s lives.
Beyond advocacy, Eric has built a diverse career as a filmmaker, television host, podcast host, author, and commentator covering subjects ranging from politics and current events to MMA, professional wrestling, gaming, mental health, and culture. His work has included hosting two seasons of television, producing documentaries, and speaking on stages across the country.
Through covering stories involving family court, parental alienation, and tragic custody disputes, Eric discovered that despite spending years trying to avoid the ministry he grew up around, he had unknowingly stepped into one of his own. His ministry simply looked different—it became one of hope, purpose, and giving a voice to people who felt they had lost theirs.
Today, Eric’s mission extends far beyond any single topic. Through his new platform, DTT, he explores the conversations that shape society—from politics and culture to mental health, relationships, sports, and personal growth. His message remains the same:
“Take what was meant to break you, let it become what makes you, and turn your pain into purpose.”
