Billy Kyle Smith is a mining and operations professional with deep roots in Kentucky’s Appalachian coal industry. A graduate of the University of Pikeville with a degree in Business Administration, he combines field expertise with strong business and management skills. Kyle has held leadership roles in mining operations, environmental compliance, logistics, and mechanical operations, overseeing everything from permitting and pond treatment to budgeting and purchasing. He holds multiple industry certifications, including MET, CPR, Dust Card, and Railway Load-Out Operator. At Carbon Energy Holdings, Kyle helps lead mine operations and environmental stewardship across a seven-site portfolio in Pike County, Kentucky.
